The time honored tradition of skating unit will begin in November for our 3rd and 4th grade STARS. Volunteers are greatly needed and appreciated.
Mrs. Riley will be inviting all of the school's book loving STARS in for the fall book fair. We encourage you to utilize the e-wallet to prevent any accidental losses that come from kids carrying money around. We will need volunteers to help students pick and purchase books. The book fair will be open late on Nov. 16th from 4-6pm
The PTO General meeting will be held in November at Silverlake Elementary in the library. We had a wonderful turnout at the last meeting, and hope to have just as much involvement at this meeting.
It's time to shovel and spread the new ground cover. Bring gloves, goggles and a shovel. We could also use an extra wheelbarrow.

The Spider Unit is a Silverlake Elementary PE tradition that includes twists, turns and spiders. The kids LOVE this unit, and so do the adults. Signup for volunteers will come out 1-2 weeks before the event starts. No real spiders will be present, but Coach Parker does have a special name for each of her numerous toy spiders hanging around.
Help us get the ground/walking area cleaned up and ready for new ground cover. Bring gloves and tools for pulling weeds. Bring a shovel if you can to help us line the garden with barrier to keep the new ground cover in.
The 2023-24 Dads, dogs and dodgeball event was on September 28th. So many wonderful father figures signed up to be a Watch Dog that night, but signups are still open for those who could not attend.
They aren't just grandparents, they are Super Grandparents! Silverlake Elementary celebrated Grandparents Day by inviting Grandparents to lunch all week 9/11-15th. Our STARS approved!
